Meet Dr. Jim Neilson

When I first opened my office here in Bend my goal was to provide the type of chiropractic care that I myself would want & appreciate. I strive at all times to treat my patients as I would want to be treated and to be the type of doctor I would feel comfortable sending my friends & loved ones to.

I call what I do “Holistic Chiropractic”. Others just call it
“the old fashioned approach”.

Everyday our purpose at Balance Chiropractic is to help all who come here to achieve better health and balance in their lives. By following these principles people will feel naturally right in referring their friends & loved ones to our office to experience the benefits of Holistic Chiropractic Care.

About Dr. Jim Neilson

Dr. Neilson has been certified by the International College of Applied Kinesiology. He also has achieved certified status in Neuro-Structural Technique (NST-Bowen),  Neuromodulation Technique (NMT), Total Body Modification (TBM), Neuro-Organization Technique, GrastonTechnique and Cranial Release Technique.

Dr. Neilson has over 10 years experience in Neuro Emotional Technique and 8 years of experience in Emotional Freedom Technique.  He has been studying multiple systems of Nutritional Reflexology for over 14 years.

Dr. Neilson is a former associate faculty member of Western States Chiropractic College and is a former instructor of Kinesiology and Nutrition at Central Oregon Community College.

A 1993 graduate of Western States Chiropractic College, Dr. Neilson has been in private practice in Bend, Oregon since 1995. He has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1991.

His greatest joy is family life with wife Amy & daughter MeiChi.
Kinesiology - Muscle Testing

In Applied Kinesiology & muscle response testing we test many muscles to check the integrity of the muscular system & skeletal system of the body. It is a common thing for people to exclaim “wow, that’s amazing” upon seeing the before and after application of muscle response testing.

And even though I have been a student of Applied Kinesiology and muscle testing for over 15 years now I still continue to marvel at how valuble a tool it is. In fact, I am truly astonished that more doctors do not use muscle testing in their evaluations and treatment.
